Baseball Recap: Big Spring Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

While Big Spring didn't have the best season last year (they finished 8-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Dover Eagles on Friday. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by eight runs or more this season.

Big Spring pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Dover, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Big Spring will venture away from home to square off against James Buchanan at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Dover, they will head out to face off against Biglerville at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Canners have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season.
