Basketball Recap: West Mesa Find Success

West Mesa posted their closest win since January 26th on Friday. They had just enough and edged the Cibola Cougars out 73-71. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

West Mesa is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points per game. As for Cibola, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Mesa will take on Eldorado in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cibola and Albuquerque will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. Albuquerque will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Cibola surely won't give up without a fight.
