South Williamsport had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They blew past the Jersey Shore Bulldogs 11-5. That's more bragging rights for the Mountaineers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

South Williamsport pushed their record up to 11-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Jersey Shore, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Coming up, South Williamsport will face off against Liberty at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hurricanes' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Mountaineers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Jersey Shore, they are taking a road trip to square off against Central Mountain at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
