Preview: New Albany Bulldogs vs. Seymour Owls
New Albany is 9-1 against Seymour since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The New Albany Bulldogs will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Seymour Owls at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
New Albany has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Corydon Central on Friday as New Albany made off with a 90-67 win. Given New Albany's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 38th, while Corydon Central is ranked 319th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Seymour earned a 55-42 victory over Lawrenceburg on Friday.
New Albany's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Seymour, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.
New Albany didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Seymour in their previous meeting back in March, but they still walked away with a 36-31 victory. Will New Albany repeat their success, or does Seymour have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
