Basketball Recap: Cedar Bluffs' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

It was a good run, but Cedar Bluffs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They received a blow as they fell 48-31 to the Brownell Talbot Raiders. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 41-35 back in January.

Abbi Gibbs was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds for Brownell Talbot. Gibbs has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 26 times she's played. Avery Nichols was another key player, putting up four points along with nine steals and eight rebounds.

Cedar Bluffs now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Brownell Talbot, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Bluffs will venture away from home to take on Omaha Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brownell Talbot, they will head out on the road to square off against Boys Town at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
