Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Vikings vs. Moses Brown Quakers

The Rogers Vikings are taking a road trip to face off against the Moses Brown Quakers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Rogers is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They beat Middletown by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 67-42. The victory continues a trend for the Vikings in their matchups with the Islanders: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Moses Brown waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Broncos by a score of 77-65.

Rogers better keep an eye on Otis Crosby. He was instrumental in Moses Brown's win, going 6-for-11 from beyond the arc en route to 38 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. The matchup was Crosby's fourth in a row with at least 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Donovan Clement, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.

Moses Brown smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 17 consecutive games.

Rogers' record now sits at 14-8. As for Moses Brown, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2.

Rogers ended up a good deal behind Moses Brown when the teams last played back in December of 2024, losing 55-40. Can Rogers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
