Baseball Recap: Radford Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when Radford duked it out with Patrick County on Tuesday. The Bobcats lost 12-1 to the Cougars. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Radford's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Patrick County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Radford will square off against Giles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Patrick County, they will welcome Amherst County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Lancers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
