Baseball Recap: Terra Nova Triumphs

Terra Nova had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They won by a run and slipped past the Cathedral Phantoms 8-7.

Aiden James was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Terra Nova is 5-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 3-5 otherwise. James was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Joey Donati, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2025.

Terra Nova now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Cathedral, they moved to 11-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Terra Nova has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Aragon on the 14th. As for Cathedral, they will challenge St. Anthony at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saints will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
