Recap: Bethesda Christian Patriots vs. University Trailblazers
The Bethesda Christian Patriots waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against University by a score of 48-37. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bethesda Christian also won the last time the pair played last Saturday.
University's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Charlotte Conyers, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Conyers hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Mackenzie Feeney was another key contributor, scoring four points along with five blocks.
Bethesda Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Bethesda Christian will head out on the road to face off against Cascade at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Cascade: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Bethesda Christian has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road. University will take on Lapel at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Lapel focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 last Tuesday.
