Volleyball Preview: North Rangers vs. Mayfield Wildcats
North is 2-8 against Mayfield since September of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The North Rangers will challenge the Mayfield Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. North will be strutting in after a win while Mayfield will be coming in after a loss.
Last Saturday, North earned a 3-1 victory over Kirtland. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rangers.
North had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first first set, they turned around to win the next three. After all that action, the final score was 10-25, 26-24, 25-17, 25-20.
Zoey Laricca had a dynamite game for North, getting 22 digs. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Mitchell, who had ten digs.
Meanwhile, Mayfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to Nordonia.
The final score came out to 25-15, 25-23, 15-25, 25-17.
North has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-7 record this season. As for Mayfield, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
