Football Recap: South Sevier Rams vs. South Summit Wildcats

South Sevier and South Summit squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but South Sevier had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Wildcats 34-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Rams were not able to get on the board.

South Sevier didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cooper Castle and Krew Redd.

Ian Mair had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 87 yards and one TD on only seven carries, while also throwing for 98 yards and one touchdown for South Summit. Those 87 rushing yards gave Mair a new career-high. Bryce Pulver made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

South Sevier's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for South Summit, they pushed their record up to 8-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

South Sevier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Summit, they will square off against San Juan at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Wildcats will need to watch out since the Broncos have now posted at least 31 points in their last five games.
