Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Weld Central). They came out on top against the Northridge Grizzlies by a score of 66-57 on Monday.

Rhett Peake was nothing short of spectacular: he went 12-for-21 on his way to 29 points and five steals. Those five steals gave him a new career-high. Brayden Moser was another key player, putting up 12 points and five steals.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ty Andrews, who posted 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Andrews continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bryson Mena, who scored seven points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Weld Central's record now sits at 2-15. As for Northridge, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Weld Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 59-46 loss against Fort Morgan on the 12th. As for Northridge, they will welcome Greeley Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Northridge has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
