Recap: Pomona Panthers vs. Conifer Lobos
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Overland, the Pomona Panthers were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 37-13 margin over Conifer. The team ran away with 28 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Kendra Ritzmann was her usual excellent self, scoring eight points along with 12 rebounds and eight steals. Those eight steals set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Teagan Anna, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Pomona now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Conifer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.
Pomona's road trip will continue as they head out to face Gateway at 4:00 p.m. on December 20th. Gateway will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings (they are ranked 247th, while Pomona is ranked 123rd). Conifer won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Far Northeast W at 2:30 p.m. on December 20th. Far Northeast W is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
