Shepard has gone 8-2 against Evergreen Park recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Astros will challenge the Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. Shepard's pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so Evergreen Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, Shepard was able to grind out a solid win over Oak Forest, taking the game 6-1. The Astros haven't had any issues with the Bengals recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Evergreen Park got the win against Stagg on Saturday by a conclusive 12-2. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 games by six runs or more this season.

Shepard pushed their record up to 24-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Evergreen Park, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-13.

Everything went Shepard's way against Evergreen Park in their previous meeting back in April, as Shepard made off with an 11-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Astros since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
