Baseball Recap: Central Gets the Win

While Central's win against Dundee-Crown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Rockets had just enough and edged out the Chargers 4-2.

Sam Maglares tossed a big game, pitching 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Daniel Koertgen, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. Connor Sreckov was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Central's victory bumped their record up to 12-15-2. As for Dundee-Crown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season.
