Baseball Recap: Cedar Bluff Drops Season-High Score on Donoho

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Bluff). They were the clear victor by a 23-15 margin over the Donoho Falcons on Thursday. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by six runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Isaac Bishop, who got on base in five of his six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 11 games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Teague, who scored four runs while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

The victory (which was Cedar Bluff's fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Donoho, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Cedar Bluff Tigers face off against Weaver Bearcats at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Donoho, they will challenge Alexandria at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
