Football Game Preview: Carroll Patriots vs. Bishop Fenwick Falcons

Carroll is 1-9 against Bishop Fenwick since October of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Patriots will challenge the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Carroll has given up an average of 40 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Carroll is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Chaminade Julienne Catholic on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Patriots lost 34-14 to the Eagles. The Patriots gained 108 more yards on the day, but it was the Eagles that made the best use of them.

Despite the defeat, Carroll had strong showings from Elijah Burneka, who rushed for 75 yards and one touchdown on only ten carries, and Ashtyn Delong, who picked up 22 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Bishop Fenwick sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-14 win over Archbishop McNicholas on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Bishop Fenwick now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Carroll came up short against Bishop Fenwick when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 19-7. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
