Volleyball Recap: Morrow Takes a Loss

Morrow was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jonesboro Cardinals. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cardinals from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-9.

Zarriah Hollinger paced Morrow's offense, picking up four kills. Hollinger got some help from Jaiden Cox and her six assists. Sivananda Arun and Hope White kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Morrow's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Jonesboro, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 16-10.

Coincidentally, Morrow and Jonesboro will both be playing Kell the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Longhorns at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Cardinals will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
