Baseball Game Preview: North Oconee Titans vs. Eastside Eagles

The North Oconee Titans will challenge the Eastside Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Oconee's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Eastside's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

North Oconee gave up the first runs last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Oakleaf by a score of 7-4.

Meanwhile, Eastside waltzed into their match last Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Red Raiders.

Levi Pickett tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Parker Denmark was incredible, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Amond Sands was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

North Oconee's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for Eastside, their win bumped their record up to 8-16.

North Oconee came up short against Eastside in their previous matchup back in March of 2020, falling 5-1. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
