Softball Recap: Ballard Memorial Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Ballard Memorial entered their tilt with Raceland on Sunday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Rams 14-4. Considering the Bombers have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Sunday's blowout was nothing new.

M Bohde made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off nine hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, G Glisson was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was A Hargrove, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Ballard Memorial hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Raceland struck out six times.

Ballard Memorial's win bumped their record up to 12-6. As for Raceland, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-6.

Coming up, Ballard Memorial will be playing in front of their home fans against Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. As for Raceland, they are taking a road trip to challenge Russell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
