Basketball Recap: Guymon Comes Up Short

Guymon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Marshall Bears, falling 73-53. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Bears are ranked 121st).

Guymon's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Guymon wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-39 victory against Capitol Hill on the 10th. As for Marshall, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-42 defeat against Eisenhower on the 10th.
