Baseball Recap: Dallastown Takes a Loss

Dallastown came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Cumberland Valley Eagles, falling 8-1. The matchup marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Dallastown saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Seitz-Gemmill, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Ryland Neutzel also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Dallastown now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Cumberland Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Dallastown and Cumberland Valley should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Wildcats will challenge William Penn at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (244 vs. 497). Meanwhile, Cumberland Valley (ranked 53rd) will meet State College (ranked 216th) at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
