Clinton had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 runs) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Mercy Marlins with a sharp 11-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Redskins, who have now won ten contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Clinton's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Mercy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Looking ahead, Clinton will venture away from home to challenge Onsted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mercy, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-0 defeat against Tecumseh on the 2nd.
