Basketball Game Preview: Proctor Phantoms vs. Twinfield Trojans

The Proctor Phantoms and the Twinfield Trojans will round out the year against one another at at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Proctor is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Mill River 81-45. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Phantoms as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

It was another big night for Chase Razanouski, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Proctor's points. Isaiah Fernandez was another key player, going 7 for 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Proctor was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Twinfield posted their closest victory since January 12th on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Oxbow, sneaking past 70-67.

Twinfield pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Proctor, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Proctor might still be hurting after the 61-39 loss they got from Twinfield in their previous meeting last Saturday. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Proctor was down 30-10.
