Harriman scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a hard 65-49 fall against the Sunbright Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while the Tigers are ranked 142nd).

Several Blue Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ansley Moore, who posted 13 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Lexi Rose, who earned ten points and six rebounds.

Even though they lost, Harriman smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in six consecutive matches.

Sunbright's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isabella Branstetter, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. Branstetter is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Madeline Petrey, who went 11 of 14 on her way to 24 points and five boards.

Harriman dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sunbright, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Harriman didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-56 win against Jellico on the 13th. As for Sunbright, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-17 victory against White Academy on the 13th.
