Soccer Recap: Clovis Takes a Loss + How To Watch

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Clovis was not quite Lovington's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of Lovington by a score of 2-1. Clovis was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lovington earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Clovis' goal came courtesy of Damian Navarrette, who's now up to five this season.

Clovis' defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lovington, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Clovis will square off against Pojoaque Valley at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clovis will be up against Pojoaque Valley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 6.5 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lovington, they will challenge Ruidoso at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
