The Bothell Cougars will face off against the Battle Ground Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bothell will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

If Bothell beats Battle Ground with 30 points on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Cougars came out on top against Eastlake by a score of 30-21 last Friday. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Wolves on their field since September 30, 2016.

Bothell found their leader in sophomore Mylez Welch, who rushed for 212 yards and two TDs while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and also picked up 44 receiving yards. Those 212 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Welch.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Bothell proved: they limited Eastlake to a paltry three yards per carry. The Cougars didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.1.

Meanwhile, Battle Ground hadn't done well against Union recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Tigers blew past the Titans 38-14. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Bothell better keep an eye on Ethan Adams. He was instrumental in Battle Ground's win, throwing for 241 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt, and also rushing for 31 yards. Adams' passing game has become a key predictor of the Tigers' success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 110 or higher, but only 2-4 otherwise. A healthy portion of Adams' aerial production (87 yards to be exact) went to Broderick Heerlein, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Bothell's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Battle Ground, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
