Softball Game Preview: York Catholic Fighting Irish vs. York Suburban Trojans

The York Catholic Fighting Irish will take on the York Suburban Trojans at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. York Catholic will be strutting in after a victory while York Suburban will be coming in after a defeat.

York Catholic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Hanover with a sharp 22-7 win on Thursday. The Fighting Irish haven't had any issues with the Nighthawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, York Suburban was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss. They lost 18-6 to West York Area.

Molly Murray made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two doubles. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Amora Rangel, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

York Suburban's defeat dropped their record down to 3-15. As for York Catholic, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 2-13.
