Baseball Game Preview: Milano Eagles vs. Burton Panthers

For the second straight game, Milano will face off against Burton. The Eagles will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milano will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Milano took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Burton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Eagles skirted past the Panthers 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted since February 27th.

Jesus Reyes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on eight hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Daniel Frei, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Kellson Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Milano pushed their record up to 12-7-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Burton, their loss dropped their record down to 13-8.
