Volleyball Recap: Antioch Takes a Loss

Antioch came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Freedom Falcons, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost seven in a row.

While Antioch ultimately came up short, they really made Freedom work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 27-25, 25-17.

Antioch now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Freedom, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-8 record this season.

Antioch didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Liberty on the 13th. As for Freedom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Heritage on the 13th.
