Softball Recap: Lapel Bulldogs vs. Elwood Panthers        
        
		
            
 Lapel can now show off 12 landslide victories after their most recent  contest  on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  16-5 margin over the Elwood Panthers. 16 seems to be a good number for Lapel as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
  Addison Bodenhorn made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed 3.1 innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   four  hits. Bodenhorn was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring three  runs while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Jama Everman, who  went 3-for-3 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Another player making a difference was  Tatum Harper, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.
 On Elwood's side,  Kenlee Noland and  Kelsey Armes did some serious damage despite the final result:  Noland  scored a  run while going 2-for-2, while  Armes  went 1-for-2 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Lapel pushed their record up to 18-4 with that  victory, which was their seventh straight  on the road. As for Elwood, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record  this season.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lapel is on the road again  on Wednesday to play Sheridan at 4:30  p.m. Lapel is facing Sheridan at the right time seeing as Sheridan is stuck on  an  11-game losing streak. As for Elwood, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Madison-Grant at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Madison-Grant will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Elwood surely won't give up without a fight.
