Kennedy suffers eighth straight loss on the road

The Kennedy Thunderbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 59-40 bruising from Delano. Kennedy has struggled against Delano recently, as their matchup on Wednesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Delano's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jotham Amodo led the charge by scoring 16 points along with six steals and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Ibrahim Shuwait, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds.

Kennedy dropped their record down to 6-18 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Delano, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-8.

Kennedy will head out on the road to square off against Wasco at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Wasco has now lost ten straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 11. As for Delano, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Chavez at 4:00 p.m. on January 26th. Chavez has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 505 points over their last eight matchups.
