Baseball Recap: Hilton Head Island Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Hilton Head Island had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Colleton County Cougars by a score of 6-3. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 20, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Dashel DesNoyers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kyle Larson, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Hilton Head Island: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Jensen Boretti, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
