Langham Creek is 8-2 against Cypress Lakes since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lobos will host the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Langham Creek is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Waller just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 31-21 to the Bulldogs.

Jordan King put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 46 yards and two TDs. Langham Creek also got help from Kamari Camp, who showed off his sure hands for 97 receiving yards.
Even if they lost, Langham Creek's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 3.5 sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Ezekiel Ayangbile, Jacory Shine, and Tristan Kubeczka, who each picked up one sack apiece.
Meanwhile, Cypress Lakes took a blow against Bridgeland on Friday, falling 44-16. The Spartans have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Langham Creek will have to keep a close watch on Jimmy Alarcon and Theodis Fields, a pair of players who had a big impact on Cypress Lakes' prior game. Alarcon rushed for 44 yards and one score, while Fields gained 81 total yards and a touchdown. Alarcon was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 54 yards.
Cypress Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Langham Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Thursday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Langham Creek has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 160.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Cypress Lakes struggles in that department as they've been averaging 161.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
