Basketball Game Preview: Nottoway Cougars vs. Buckingham Knights

Nottoway hasn't had much luck against Buckingham recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Nottoway Cougars are taking a road trip to take on the Buckingham Knights at 6:00 p.m.

Nottoway lost 48-26 to Cumberland on Tuesday. The loss was the Cougars' first of the season.

Despite the loss, Nottoway had strong showings from Anna Lee, who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards, and Promise Tracy, who posted nine points and five steals. Tracy is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least five every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Banks, who had five points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Buckingham, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They claimed a resounding 62-21 win over Randolph-Henry.

Having lost for the first time this season, Nottoway fell to 2-1. As for Buckingham, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Nottoway took a serious blow against Buckingham in their previous meeting back in January, falling 62-13. Can Nottoway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
