Recap: Fayette County Tigers vs. Chapel Hill Panthers

It was a good run, but the Fayette County Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of Chapel Hill by a score of 69-67. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Fayette County has suffered yet this season.

When it comes to explaining why Fayette County lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christian McAllister. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with five rebounds. McAllister continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Keith Gillespie was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.

Fayette County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-6. As for Chapel Hill, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

Fayette County will head out on the road to take on North Clayton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Clayton is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home. Chapel Hill will take on Carrollton at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Carrollton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully Chapel Hill likes a good challenge.
