Soccer Recap: NCSSM: Morganton Find Success

NCSSM: Morganton's game on Monday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They had just enough and edged out the Mountain Island Charter Raptors 1-0. That's two games straight that NCSSM: Morganton have won by just one goal.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Tyler Varanum, who's now up to four this season.

The win made it two in a row for NCSSM: Morganton and bumps their season record up to 10-6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Mountain Island Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-6.

Coincidentally, NCSSM: Morganton and Mountain Island Charter will both be playing Queen's Grant the next time they take the pitch. The Raptors will host the Stallions at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Dragons will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
