There's no place like home for Kankakee Valley, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They blew past the South Newton Rebels 3-0 on Tuesday. For the Kougars, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Rebels walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Kankakee Valley was especially dominant in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12, 25-16.

Their offense was headlined by Aubrey Stowers and Gabrielle Diener, who picked up six kills apiece. Diener really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 11. Avery Diener controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

When it comes to explaining why South Newton lost, don't look at Briley Iseminger. Despite the final result, she had 14 digs and one assist. Iseminger is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last six games she's played dating back to last season.

The win got Kankakee Valley back to even at 2-2. As for South Newton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Kankakee Valley will take on Merrillville in a tournament on Saturday. As for South Newton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Kouts at 6:00 p.m.
