Football Game Recap: Anaconda vs. Powell County

Last Friday wasn't at all kind to Powell County, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They were the clear victor with a 54-20 margin. Anaconda can consider this payback for the 22-27 loss they dealt Powell County the last time the teams encountered one another.

Powell County's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 41 points in the first half. Anaconda came up with 6 to make it 41-6 heading into the break. Powell County were outperformed in the second half 13-14 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The win bumped their record up to 1-3. Anaconda are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-3.

Next week Powell County take on Loyola-Sacred Heart at 7:00 PM. Anaconda will look to defend their home turf against Huntley Project at 7:00 PM.
