Basketball Recap: Muleshoe Comes Up Short

Muleshoe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 58-50 to the Littlefield Wildcats. While losing is never fun, the Mules can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 869th, while the Wildcats are ranked 193rd).

Muleshoe's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Littlefield, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season.

Muleshoe will be playing in front of their home fans against Friona at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Littlefield, they will venture away from home to square off against Roosevelt at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
