Madill skates past Sulphur with ease

Recap: Madill Wildcats vs. Sulphur Bulldogs

The Madill Wildcats came tearing into Tuesday's match with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 63-33 victory over Sulphur. Given Madill's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while Sulphur is ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ethan Wilkerson was his usual excellent self, scoring 36 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brylan James, who scored 12 points along with eight assists and six rebounds.

Madill's victory bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Sulphur, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Madill will be playing at home against Lone Grove at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sulphur, they will head out on the road to challenge Plainview at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
