Volleyball Recap: Carl Hayden Community Takes a Loss

Carl Hayden Community lost against Metro Tech back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons came up short against the Knights, falling 3-0. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Carl Hayden Community was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 25-23.

Saul Nunez paced Carl Hayden Community's offense, picking up 16 kills. Nunez got some help from Sebasti?n Zazueta and his 29 assists. Martin Cervantes controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Carl Hayden Community's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Metro Tech, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carl Hayden Community will face off against Fairfax at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Metro Tech, they will square off against Glendale at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Knights are facing the Cardinals at the right time seeing as the Cardinals are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
