Maple Grove waltzed into their match on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Pine Valley Central Panthers get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The Red Dragons have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Panthers, too.

Maple Grove's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Pine Valley Central, they are on a 24-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Pine Valley Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-1 loss against Cassadaga Valley on the 5th. Hopefully Maple Grove paid attention to the Panthers' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
