Basketball Recap: Union Has No Trouble Against Dayton

Union posted their biggest win since December 27, 2024 on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 60-40 margin over the Dayton Bulldogs. Given the Farmers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Bulldogs are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Dayton still got an impressive performance from Lucas Antonio, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Antonio a new career-high in points. Nate Goldman was another key player, putting up seven points.

Union's victory bumped their record up to 6-13. As for Dayton, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.

Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dayton, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bernards at 7:00 p.m.
