Deltona fought the good fight in their overtime contest against New Smyrna Beach on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 93-86 to the New Smyrna Beach Barracudas. One positive for the Wolves, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

New Smyrna Beach was led to victory by Tyler Mcknight and Owen Mclaughlin. Mcknight went 8 for 16 on his way to 25 points, while Mclaughlin dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 boards. The game was Mclaughlin's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Robert Hazard, who posted ten points and seven rebounds.

Deltona is on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for New Smyrna Beach, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-6.
