Basketball Recap: Russell County Takes Down Pike Road in a Playoff Battle

It's playoff time, and Russell County had no trouble coming through when it counted. They managed a 55-50 win over the Pike Road Patriots on Saturday. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Patriots last Saturday, they had to take a 63-53 loss.

Russell County is also on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.8 points per game. As for Pike Road, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-10.

As of now, neither Russell County nor Pike Road have any future games scheduled.
