Football Game Preview: Abbott Panthers vs. Hill County Wolves

The Abbott Panthers will challenge the Hill County Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Saturday, Abbott had to suffer through a 46-8 loss at the hands of Borden County. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 54 points the game before, Hill County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Saturday. They were outmatched by Stephenville FAITH and fell 54-7. The Wolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-7.

Hill County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Abbott, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Everything came up roses for Abbott against Hill County when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 66-0 win. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
