Basketball Game Preview: Enosburg Falls Hornets vs. Colchester Lakers

The Enosburg Falls Hornets will venture away from home to face off against the Colchester Lakers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither Enosburg Falls nor Colchester posted many points in their last games, so it might be the defenses that decide this one.

Enosburg Falls is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Vermont's top teams: Hazen, who was ranked 14th at the time (Enosburg Falls was ranked 24th). Enosburg Falls took a hard 41-24 fall against Hazen on Monday. The Hornets just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Meanwhile, Colchester had to suffer through a 59-24 loss at the hands of Middlebury. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colchester's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Enosburg Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Enosburg Falls skirted past Colchester 35-32 when the teams last played back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enosburg Falls since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
