Softball Recap: Conant Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Conant's offense. They came up short against the Barrington Broncos on Tuesday, falling 10-0. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Cougars, who until this game were averaging four runs allowed.

Conant's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Barrington, their win was their 20th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-0.

Conant and Barrington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Cougars will take on Buffalo Grove at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (33 vs. 242). Meanwhile, Barrington (ranked second) will meet Hersey (ranked 146th) at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
