Softball Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Silverton hit Central with a five-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 11-8 to the Foxes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Foxes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 back in April.

Maeci Brown was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. Sophia Beasly was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Central's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Silverton, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-13.

As of now, neither Central nor the Foxes have any future games scheduled.
